Not only do have to worry about neighborhood dogs, but our property backs up to a river and we're in the midst of a forest, even though we live in a subdivision. We've seen a fox, racoons, and hawks, so I always worried about the girls. Crossing my fingers that they stay put now! ;-)<br />Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09643317297830165273noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5631374415610618691.post-55502600640991940252012-11-29T20:19:43.968-05:002012-11-29T20:19:43.968-05:00Anonymous, is your name Marsha Basanda? The way she looked at me was rather hilarious. And I'm certain she probably thought the same about me--because I was shocked to see her in the tree. Then, I was baffled about how to get her down. Thankfully, although these girls are really quite naughty--they are very tame, so it wasn't too difficult. I'm crossing my fingers that they behave now, because I'd like to maintain good relationships with the neighbors--and avoid the trauma of a bird becoming some pup's dinner! Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you have a lovely week!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09643317297830165273noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5631374415610618691.post-36819317858782849802012-11-29T10:54:08.600-05:002012-11-29T10:54:08.600-05:00Good Afternoon Julie, I loved reading about your t...Good Afternoon Julie, I loved reading about your troublesome "teenage" trio. These girls certainly have a head for adventure, as they wanted to see what was over the fence and what is the saying "the grass is always greener on the other side".... we know this isn't true, but poor Saltine, Sugar and Spice had to find this out for themselves. This is where I show my ignorance, I have never seen a chicken in flight and I certainly have never seen a chicken in a tree...I read your post a couple of times because it was so much fun. I hope your "girls" have a less adventurous life now that their wings are clipped. Have a lovely day.
